Engineering Supervisor

Location: Onsite in Reno, NV

Pay Range: $111,000 - $140,000 annually


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop engineering teams specializing in design-build services (HVAC, Plumbing, Process Piping, Industrial, Refrigeration, Controls).
  • Mentor and train engineers and Team Leads.
  • Assign, coordinate, and schedule all incoming projects.
  • Ensure Project Managers' defined scope is delivered per project schedules.
  • Conduct application and constructability reviews on projects.
  • Provide daily supervision of engineering personnel.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard BIM and engineering practices, including QA processes.
  • Participate in performance reviews and make recommendations to the Engineering Manager.
  • Support pre-sales efforts, including system selection, code review, and application evaluation.
  • Evaluate potential projects to minimize corporate risk in conjunction with the Engineering Manager.
  • Foster collaboration between engineers and other departments.
  • Maintain engineering standards and policies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and project teams.
  • Manage time to meet project schedules and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Position Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 7+ years of experience, including 4 years in a leadership role managing engineers.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and constructability.
  • Excellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards.
  • Proficient in building modeling.
  • Skilled in team development and people management.
